That was an entertaining video. It is interesting to see how cultural concepts have evolved. He did not mention it but I saw a picture of Saint Lucia in there, a Swedish character. The, I guess, American version of Santa Claus traveling around and visiting every house in the world in one night isn’t very realistic. He would have to go faster than the speed of light or at least so fast that he would burn up in the atmosphere like a meteor. We just watched a meteor shower by the way. Anyway, I think having one gnome per house or farmstead as in the old Swedish version is more realistic. No need for the speed of light travel.
I have come to believe time is not linear so that “visit every house” thing–I can see how it would happen. Now, I can’t really prove that, but Einstein had some ideas on it, and then there’s time travel. Happy New Year, Thomas. Keep sparking my imagination in 2025!
