September 18-29

I’m off to visit my two military children and then my sister. My son is preparing to deploy overseas to places I won’t mention while my daughter does what she can to keep him safe.  After time with them, I’ll go see my sister in rural Marion, Indiana for a recentering. I hear a James Dean car show is on the agenda!  As a result, I won’t be around much–a bit, but forgive me if I seem to be ignoring everyone!

Like every year, I exuberantly celebrate America’s birthday. I’d say times are tough here in the US, but that seems to be true everywhere in the world. So, I won’t complain. I will enjoy the love of America as all of my international friends love their homeland.

It’s America’s birthday and I’m celebrating. My Army Sergeant son is in Japan–Okinawa. My Navy LT CDR daughter’s in the DC area. I thank both of them and all those soldiers who fought for America’s uncertain future so long ago.

April 25th-30th

My wonderful sister is visiting from Marion, Indiana. She is uncomfortable flying, hasn’t been back here since my mother’s funeral. I can’t overstate how excited I am to see her. As a result, I won’t be around much the next week–a bit, but mostly, we’ll be talking, visiting, exploring, walking…

October 24th – November 7th

My wonderful son is changing his duty station from Okinawa Japan to Fort Dietrich Maryland. To celebrate his return to the US, we are taking a 3,700+ mile road trip across the country, from California to Maryland with a stop over to see my daughter, also in Maryland. We have a lot of sights to see, at the top of the list SpaceX’s center in Bolsa Chica Texas and Florida.
