Weekend Website #52: 7 Sites About Coin Counting

Posted by on July 9, 2011

Second graders (sometimes first graders) learn about money. The only way to really ‘get it’ is by repetition, so I came up with a list of websites to provide redundancy for each type of learner. Thought I’d share them with you:

  1. Coin Counting
  2. Counting Money
  3. Money—counting
  4. Piggy Bank
  5. Pick A Coin
  6. H.I.P. Pocket Change
  7. Cash Out

Do you have any to add to this list? These are mostly for youngers–I’d love some for older age groups.

Jacqui Murray is the editor of a technology curriculum for K-fifth grade and creator of two technology training books for middle school. She is the author of Building a Midshipman, the story of her daughter’s journey from high school to United States Naval Academy midshipman. She is webmaster for five blogs, an Amazon Vine Voice book reviewer, a columnist for Examiner.com, and a weekly contributor to Write Anything and Technology in Education. Currently, she’s working on a techno-thriller that should be ready this summer. Contact Jacqui at her writing office or her tech lab, Ask a Tech Teacher.

Thank you for the links but Link #5 doesn’t work…just so you know.

Well that’s too bad. Darn. This is an older post–I have an updated list here–http://askatechteacher.com/great-kids-websites/economics/.

    Thanks for letting me know!
